I do love a good casefic, but I'm equally happy with a warm PWP. Character voice is important to me more than plot really. I do love a good magical or fantasy or SF AU. Something surprising and twisty is always welcome. I'm just always happy to see these characters in a new light, or doing their thing in an unexpected way. I'm always up for travel to another part of the world, or even another part of the British Isles. Whether it's solving a good weird mystery or exploring a new kink or taking care of each other in some especially them kind of way, I'm here for it. I also love seeing alternate points of view (and if it's a subversive view of canon like Study in Emerald, I'm really interested in all the little details of how that plays out.) I'd like to avoid outright rape/non-con or graphic torture, and please leave Holmes and Watson both alive at the end. Otherwise I'm difficult to squick. For art, anything on the themes listed above - atmospheric, sexy, funny, whatever strikes you. I love romantic settings, intimacy, costumes. Also fond of atmospheric and spooky. I would especially love art for any of my fics or any of the lesser-known book canons I’ve listed here. • A Diogenese employee as Mycroft's meetings with Lestrade shift from obligation to something more (friendship/courtship)
• Mrs. Hudson excitedly shopping for more food after the return of her boys, chatting up all the folks at the butcher counter, farmers market, etc.
• Airplane steward as Mycroft and Sherlock fly home for Mummy's birthday and squabble the entire way there about everything (snacks, travel plans, packing, presents, how to wrap presents - let's say John went to a medical conference and is meeting them there). Going darker than the requested canon is fine, but not full grimdark tortureworld. I'm fine with canon-typical violence, language, and sex, so preferences vary by canon. For example, Fate/GO characters getting trapped in a magic sex dungeon would be typical for that canon, but would be bewildering in an ACD fic. (Fate/GO is on my list just in case someone out there feels like drawing Caster Holmes. Or was he really a Caster? I'm into the Foreigner Holmes and Beast Holmes theories as well.)

In general, I find the mixture of resentment and admiration between Holmes and the Yard interesting, and I prefer characters standing around a body in the rain to staying indoors.

Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: I love Sherlock and John a little sharp-edged, with all of their wit and insecurities and imperfections. I love to wallow in a bit of angst as long as there's a happy or hopeful resolution waiting for me at the end. To me, Sherlock and John are a team, two people who function at their best when they are together, even if they don't realize it. I love John saving Sherlock, and Sherlock saving John. I love huddling for warmth and only one bed. I love sports AUs and chef AUs. I love Sherlock and John meeting under entirely different circumstances, but somehow still clicking together. I love both of them rediscovering one another after a separation. I love cases and misunderstandings and emotionally-charged declarations of love. I love tropes of all kinds!

 If you find yourself inclined to write a crossover fic, I've been into Hannibal lately and I think it would be interesting to see what might happen if Sherlock Holmes crossed paths with Hannibal Lecter. And Potterlock is always fun, too!
