Master List - Summer 2018

Sorted by category and fandom, all the amazing fanworks created by this rounds's participants, for your perusal and entertainment and finally with the names attached! Now comments can be answered and works reposted all over the web, and pimping shall commence far and wide!

Recipients: while it's in no way a rule and requirement to comment on your gift (and most of you have done so already), it is nevertheless highly encouraged.

If you haven't added your fanwork to the AO3 collection, and you want to, you can add it here: Holmestice Exchange - Summer 2018. If you've already posted to AO3, you may update the date on your work, thereby giving it a moment at the top of its associated tags.

And now, without further ado, the Grand Reveal!

Many thanks to everyone who participated! If you see any mistakes or omissions in the master list, please email the mods and we'll get it fixed up ASAP.

We'll be editing the posts now to put all the author/artist and beta information in there as well, but it's going to take some time. Please have a little patience; we'll get there.

Thank you mods and participants for another amazing round of Holmestice. I have already started brainstorming strategies to protect myself from the likes of SCFrankles ithis December. In the words of Douglas Richardson: "You will not catch me out so...there."

Thanks to the mods and everyone for a fun round! This exchange is awesome and I'm happy it's still going strong.

Good job to everyone who guessed correctly on my fic. Did I give it away by commenting on all BBC fics except one? I didn't realize there would be so few. I will remember that next time!

I was pre-disposed to think the mods wouldn't cross-match people, so originally I was inclined to think you hadn't written my fic. But you were the only person (in the entire exchange, IIRC) to offer to write Sally, so that tilted me towards guessing it might have been you. And thank you again for such a sympathetic portrayal; she's one of my favourite Sherlockian ladies and deserves more attention (and fics).

It's not uncommon for us to cross-match people, actually. I don't think we do it every round, but I'd guess we do it in the majority of them? We do try to avoid it -- try to give people a little more variety of experience -- but sometimes the math works out better with a cross-match or two in the mix.

Writing that one fic about Sally has made me want to write more, so thank YOU for setting the challenge. It's only my second fic ever, so I'm learning as I go. I'm so happy you liked it. And thanks again to you for my lovely Holmes brothers story.

OMG! Where did the last week go? Or the last two weeks, even. Can't believe Holmestice is already over again, but even if I haven't really read anything yet, thank you for another great round!

I can't wait to read all of these wonderful stories this weekend! And, following along vicariously, it seems like a lot of fun is had by a really friendly bunch of people. So I may dip my toe into the water for the December version.

My first round was last December too! I've been a Holmestice reader for years, but I have to say it's loads more fun to be one of the creators now. Everyone has been fantastic and the mods are incredibly patient and helpful. Do it!!

Thank you, wonderful mods, for -- well, you know what for by now, right? The hard work, the patience, the kindness and generosity: all these keep me coming back.

Thanks to the mods for their hard work and patience. This is bar-none my favorite exchange.

Shortly, I should be replying to comments on The Adventure of the Blue Parrot but in the meantime, for those who asked for more, Chapter 2 has been posted.

Thank you mods for another enjoyable exchange.

I particularly want to thank you for being willing to re-visit the "fics must be posted on DW issue". I recognise that having some fics on AO3 only is more work for you, so I'm very grateful you were willing to consider making this change. Doing so allowed me to participate again, and I'm very glad I was able to. Thanks!

We're just pleased to have you back participating again!

And it wasn't just you: there were a handful of people for whom it was a dealbreaker. Hopefully we'll see them back in a round or two, too.

Adding my note of gratitude to the mods for running yet another wonderful exchange! This round was a lot of fun.

I really need to work on my guessing game, though. :D
