Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: Really, anything in the genres I listed above would make me happy, but if more specific info is helpful, here it is. For Sherlock/John, I like established relationship stories better than getting together stories. For the other ships, getting together stories are just fine. Sherlock POV is excellent, and I like stories that explore asexuality or queer themes. I also love stories where food and cooking is important, most especially if John is a good cook. Seeing Sherlock show a bit of vulnerability is always interesting, so long as it is still in character. Back stories for anyone are excellent; I'd love to know what John or Sherlock were up to before they met, and I'd love to see any minor character – especially a minor female character – fleshed out. I am very curious about Sherlock as a teenager. Although I have talked primarily about Sherlock and John here, I really love gen fic, and I'd be equally happy to see a story for pretty much anyone in BBC verse, save for Moriarty (it's fine if he's a plot element, just not the main focus.) For Mycroft/Anthea, I would love to read a story wherein Mycroft is not good with the ladies and Anthea is the one who makes the first move. Also, Anthea rescuing Mycroft from some sort of danger. Girl saves boy is a favorite trope of mine.
I do not care for fluff, schmoop, or over-the-top angst. Explicit sex is fine, but I prefer it not to be the point of the story. Bittersweet endings are great, but not bleak and hopeless ones please. No mpreg or kidfic either.
Special requests: I should probably not be paired with someone for whom explicit sex is very important; I do not write it well enough to do it for a gift exchange.
