- Generally I love character-centred vignettes and musings, slice of life bite-sized stories, bringing life to minor characters and filling the blanks about events that one wishes there was more details about. Oh and, underrepresented adaptations.
- Always up for retirement domesticity and village crime-solving à la Coules’ LION. I would love something with Stackhurst, either (partly) set away from Watson where Holmes is enjoying the company of this new friend and working some personal dilemmas through it, or simply of them three having a silly adventure together.
- Big fan of any cheerful queer topics. I’d rather not get anything that deals with period-typical homophobia/transphobia as the main theme, although a bit for historical context is fine, but I’m more interested in the celebration of what’s outside the norms, gender non-conformity and going against heteronormative expectations. Could be exploring Watson’s bisexuality, Holmes’ gender and presentation, or anything along those lines involving other characters.
- Holmestice is the perfect environment to work on that idea that’s been at the back of your brain for ages but that you’re never really getting the drive to work on. Have you ever thought that Holmes should have a special interest that’s never mentioned and you want to go on about it? Do you have a very obscure craft project that's canon-adjacent? Something you think I’d be interested in but you’re not quite sure? Don't hold back!
- Anything a little less "mainstream" or really obscure in terms of adaptations (or even pairings) would be a treat. I would love if you wanted to work in a specific, often neglected, verse! Don’t you think that Arthur Wontner and Ian Fleming kissed in the lost The Missing Rembrandt? Don’t you want to create something set in Michael Chaplin’s 2007 BBC Radio 4 comedy drama Two-Pipe Problem? Are you sure?
- Please nothing too angsty, dark, violent. Just not in the mood for it. No pregnancy mention. Transfem characters are cool, but I’m personally more interested in transmasculinity if you wish to discuss gender, unless you have more experience with transfemininity. Not big on "traditional" genderbending, but I dearly love any canonically female H & W that I've listed above. Uh... what else...I love silly scholarship, so if you wanted to use like, an insane bsj article as a starting point for your piece, that would be very cool.
- I also have a lot of art on tumblr that could be used as inspiration for what you create. If you want me to expand on something or if you have questions, you're more than welcome to ask through mods. If you are intrigued about an adaptation that is difficult to find, I will send it to you!
