My interpretation of canon is that Sherlock is aroace, autistic, and bipolar; I enjoy fanworks that also take this view, whether or not any of the above are a focus of the story. I don't like a focus on romance, though pairings, especially canonical ones, can certainly be mentioned. Crossovers I enjoy are Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl; my other popular fandoms include LOTR, ATLA, Gregor the Overlander, Enola Holmes mysteries, Ender's Game, and genres I love are classical literature and old-school scifi, so feel free to stick to canon or get creative :) Can be dark, cheerful, whatever!

Special requests: I must confess to a soft spot for reading and writing about flogging/whipping (NOT domestic discipline between the mains, to be clear!) and just getting the living shit beat out of either of the characters so the other can cry over them and comfort them. This can be Victorian-era canon or bad-guy vengeance. Emotional h/c also rocks my world. I love works about Sherlock’s drug addiction, angst and whump. Sherlock’s mind and how he came to be how he is, his drug use, or suffering from PTSD after the fall/Serbia torture. John at first being angry at Sherlock and arguing because of his drug use but at the end being supportive and helping him.
Or angst about John moving out or leaving because of drugs or other arguments, Sherlock being a mess without him (and John too), but happy ending. Much drama and angst first and then comfort. John and Sherlock have to be apart first and suffer without each other to realise how much they need each other and then reunite and help each other. That they go through hardship and heartbreak together, argue and divide, but end up closer than ever before at the end.
DO NOT WANT: noncon, dubcon, sexual violence, SA, prostitution, animal abuse etc or mentions of such things at all. No terminal diseases.
I don’t want Sherlock to be in any other relationships other than with John, and no previous relationships. Sherlock should have no previous experience.
