Sherlock Holmes has returned from the dead an altered man. Though he is back on cases with the Yard, Greg Lestrade can't help noticing that there is something off about the consulting detective. In many ways he is still the abrasive and condescending man that drove Greg close to cracking multiple times in the past; yet that core of mischief, of enjoyment, of curiosity seems to be gone.
A disagreement over a key element in a case leads Greg to approach Sherlock in a way he has never tried before - and through doing so he reaches a new depth of understanding of the troubled genius that will lead him to consider their relationship in a new light...
