Anything with banter/snark is a guaranteed way to make my day. The snarkier the better. I don't mind explicit fics, but I'd rather they had some sort of plot leading to the sexy times and not just PWP. In regards to that, UST is always good. Whether or not it leads somewhere is up to you.

Case-fics are always good, and if you can insert a modern-times case into ACD or Ritchie it would be great. (or vice versa, I'm not picky).

Any incarnation of Watson shown as a competent doctor and using their skills either to solve a case or otherwise help Sherlock/Mycroft/whoever you choose to write from. Fyi, I'm a nurse, so if you're going that route I'd appreciate if all the medical facts are, in fact, correct. Or at least as close to correct as possible, since I understand medical jargon is not always that easy to interpret. But I hope you get my point.
