Thank you so much for another wonderful round of Holmestice! The mods want to say THANK YOU to all the creators who joined us for this, our twentieth round -- especially given how tumultuous these last months have been. Being in this community with you is a joy and an honour.

Reveals and the Master List go up on June 20th. Until then, please enjoy and comment on all the lovely fanworks. Creators, please do NOT respond to Dreamwidth comments or post your works elsewhere on the Internet until reveals go up in the community. You may of course reply to comments on AO3, which preserves your anonymity.

In the meanwhile, stay tuned: treats are coming up! For anyone thinking of making a treat, we will accept treats right through until reveals, so if there's a prompt that inspires you, please have at it! Just use the regular submission guidelines and send your headers to holmesticemods@gmail.com.

If you'd like to guess who created what in this round, here's a list of all the contributors for the main gifts. (You'll have to put in some extra work to guess the treat-makers!) Go ahead and take a guess! It's all in good fun.

Hey there, just want to say I'm sorry to hear you have been having Medical Adventures, and I hope you are feeling okay and that your recovery will keep going as smoothly as possible! All best wishes <3333

All is about as well medically as it's likely to get - per my remark to the Supreme Commander downstream, I'm almost at the point where a certain amount of medical management becomes part of the daily routine anyway. And I did, in the course of the Adventures, get tested for the current doomsday plague and declared Not A Zombie, so that part counts as a win.

(Of course, that precludes me from blaming any errors in upcoming guesses deductions on Zombie Brain. Oh, well....)

I'm so sorry to hear about the Medical Adventures. (And I'm sorry about the handing your homework in late crack ^^") All the best for your full recovery.

Evidence is evidence, and I do push my deadlines on occasion even when not having Medical Adventures™, so there need be no great concern on that score. And fortunately, the Medical Adventures™ appear to be under control at this point. (In any event, I am coming up on the stage of life where the wonders of modern medicine start becoming daily routine, no matter how much care one takes. Best get used to it a little early, one supposes.)

Just want to add to the chorus wishing you well. I know how the addition of Medical Adventures can make everything else around them that much harder, too. Glad you're doing better!

(And thank you for your advance congratulations!)

BTW I am DYING to ask who this mystery sonnetist is, but I don't know if that would be playing fair on my part.

That's right, you're new enough to entirely postdate the original LiveJournal community, and she's one of the handful of folk who (so far as I know, at least) didn't migrate to DW at all.

That being the case, and fannish/civilian dualism being what it is, let's do this:

Here's a link to the book of sonnets (I've sent folks to Powell's, but Amazon or B&N also list the volume if you need another source). Some of those who've been around longer - and have paid attention - may also be able to put a name to the author's fannish persona and reconnect to her LiveJournal (not to mention looking up her Holmestice work here in the comm). She's talked about the sonnet book in her LJ, but is among the many who maintain a polite separation between her fannish and professional literary identities, and I shall therefore abide by that distinction here.

Nooo, no, I was here in Holmestice's LJ days! My first Holmestice was winter 2015, and it looks like the jump to DW was in summer 2017. But thank you for the details, I do now see which fannish person you meant. A year of sonnets, how impressive!
