Thank you so much for another wonderful round of Holmestice! The mods want to say THANK YOU to all the creators who joined us for this, our twentieth round -- especially given how tumultuous these last months have been. Being in this community with you is a joy and an honour.

Reveals and the Master List go up on June 20th. Until then, please enjoy and comment on all the lovely fanworks. Creators, please do NOT respond to Dreamwidth comments or post your works elsewhere on the Internet until reveals go up in the community. You may of course reply to comments on AO3, which preserves your anonymity.

In the meanwhile, stay tuned: treats are coming up! For anyone thinking of making a treat, we will accept treats right through until reveals, so if there's a prompt that inspires you, please have at it! Just use the regular submission guidelines and send your headers to holmesticemods@gmail.com.

If you'd like to guess who created what in this round, here's a list of all the contributors for the main gifts. (You'll have to put in some extra work to guess the treat-makers!) Go ahead and take a guess! It's all in good fun.

Because your extensive guessing process is hella entertaining! (Surely you've noticed this when graycardinal does it, yes?) And I must say, the part about me is especially entertaining.

Oh good, well, I'm glad you're entertained! I've certainly entertained myself with all this, it's just hard to imagine that extending to anyone else. But I'm pleased I'm amusing you!

Can I second this? I'll be the first to admit that I'm as thick as two planks when it comes to guessing anything (also, I somehow missed that there would be guessing - two planks, see?) and need to catch up on the reading, but I am watching the whole guessing process with no small amount of glee.

Hello! :D Oh, I'm very pleased it's entertaining, then.

And I just want to say, it's not the least bit thick to not have known about the guessing! As far as I know [*prepares for sanguinity to swoop in and correct me*] this whole guessing thing hasn't necessarily ever been an *official* aspect of Holmestice...it's just this fun, strange thing we do at the end of each round, because we're Holmes fans who like detecting things. ;-) And it develops new and wonderful aspects with nearly every round, as guessers and creators have to keep evolving to keep ahead of each other. (See comment somewhere above about the time iwantthatcoat created *an entire separate AO3 account* as part of a marvelously elaborate ruse to avoid detection!)
