I will create:
A fanwork of the following type(s): fic, vid, podfic
In one or more of the following parts of fandom: Doyle - Canon, tbd.
For one or more of the following relationships: Holmes/Watson, various femslash, or gen.
I like working with one or more of the following categories: Established Relationship, Friendship, Hurt/Comfort, Alternate Universe, Canon Divergence, Crossover
With any of the following ratings: 1) suitable for general audiences; 2) non-explicit sexual content; 4) mild to moderate violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes.
I am willing to create for the following squicks and/or kinks: None.
I want to receive:
A fanwork of the following type(s): art, fic, vid
In one or more of the following parts of fandom: Whitehead Holmes; Dinosaur Holmes (Asylum); Sherlock Hemlock (Sesame Street); The Case of the Disappearing Clues (Muppets); The Case of the Red Herring (Muppets Tonight, timestamp 7:35);
Books: The Adventure of the Peerless Peer (Farmer); Enola Holmes (Springer); Conned Again, Watson! (Bruce); ACD Canon.
Comics/radio/other: Sherlock Holmes vs. Zombies (comic); Bert Coules radio dramatizations + Further Adventures.
For one or more of the following relationships: Any (except incest), or none.
I like stuff in the following categories: Humor, Hurt/Comfort, Romance, Casefic, Episode Tags, Missing Scenes, Canon Divergence, Alternate Universe, Crossover, Friendship, Established Relationship.
With any of the following ratings: 1) suitable for general audiences; 2) non-explicit sexual content; 4) mild to moderate violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes.
I wouldn’t mind any of the following squicks and/or kinks: None.
Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: A lot of the above are goofy, and you’re welcome to follow the original tone with those, if you so desire — I have no objection whatsoever to a good laugh! But many of the above are comfort fandoms for me, and I’d love a gift with an earnestly tender heart to it, if you can manage it: it’s already been a rough spring, and who knows what the world is going to look like by summer. If you do hurt/comfort, I’d like a healthy dose of comfort, and whatever you choose to do, I’d enjoy a happy ending, please.
I’m a multi-shipper, so I’m giving you a free hand with ships: please avoid incest ships, and please don’t trample on Mary if you’re writing Holmes/Watson. (I like how in love Watson is with Mary in the original stories; you don’t need to include her if you don’t want, but it would make me sad to see her reduced to a literary fiction or a beard.) Femslash makes me very happy, and I’m always down for a good gen story, too.
A couple of these universes don’t treat Watson as well as they ought — if you want to fix Watson’s alleged cowardice in the Zombies comic, I will not say no! (Strangely, my copy of the comic is missing the VERY NECESSARY SCENE where Holmes checks Watson all over very carefully for zombie scratches — is yours missing that scene, too? Perhaps you would care to rectify that.) Conned Again is another source that doesn’t do right by Watson; again, please feel free to fix that. (I mostly included Conned Again because I like the implication that FINA was a case of Holmes going up against a mathematician when math was on the line. But honestly, if anything in that book lights your imagination, I will be beyond tickled that you took it on.)
Things I particularly enjoy, which may or may not apply to your vision: people rising to the occasion and doing their best by each other, crack written in perfect earnest, meta-textual explorations of canon and its adaptations, long-standing relationships with a lot of heart in them, nuance and complexity and subtle humour. I am a perfect romantic sap, and there are never enough math jokes in anything.
If you need a consult on my preferences and want to keep things secret from me, I advise contacting
grrlpup or
language_escapes.
colebaltblue is useful at keeping secrets, too.
Mostly, though: make something that makes you happy. I look forward to being happy about it, too.
Special requests: None.
