Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: I would love to receive a gift exploring Holmes' asexuality and his complicated feelings towards romance, especially in the contest of a newfound relationship with Watson; I'd love something where their love is a direct consequence, an evolution of their already deep friendship, and how the shift happened and how far they want it to go. Basically them communicating, setting some boundaries and being a healthy, functional couple.
Anything with genderqueer Holmes. I will love you forever, literally anything is good as long as you (please) keep the period-typical transphobia down.
Another trope I'm always a sucker for is old retired and married Holmes and Watson, but I wondered how this situation would work in a world where they realized they're in love and came to an undestanding/relationship much, much later in life. I was thinking about Bert Coules' adaptation of LION, but also of his adaptation of LAST and how our heroes aged and drifted apart to then stick together like magnets as soon as they saw each other for the first time in a decade. If they were to confess their love that late, how would their relationship develop? How would they deal with the dramma of "all those wasted years": would they even consider it a problem worth thinking about in the first place? Why, or why not?
If you feel more up to angst this round, I'd welcome anything where Holmes is in a safe enough environment to confront the way he lived during his "time away" after Reichenbach. Seeing as a short time as an undercover spy as an Irish rebel almost changed his natural accent in LAST, spending three years constantly changing faces and acting deep in character for every single one of them while never allowed to be himself for a moment of peace must have fucked over his sense of self pretty bad. How does he deal with this kind of trauma when his normal life has been handed back to him and the full weight of what he went through finally falls on his head? How can Watson help him through it?
Last thing I'd love to see is some good ol' kidfic. Holmes and Watson bonding with the Irregulars as the gay couple where Holmes respects them and treats them like adults and Watson's the funky uncle who tells stories about tigers and tackles them, plays rough, and they both love their gang of children very very much.
