The matches are done and will be heading out tomorrow.

If you have concerns or issues regarding your matches - please reach out as soon as possible. Re-matching is not always possible but we do our best to accommodate reasonable requests. And yes, we always do manage to make a mistake or two since all matching is done by hand!

Please acknowledge your match emails - that's how we confirm you are absolutely 100% participating. We will send your recipient out for pinch hit if we don't hear from you.

We will make posts about finding a beta, submission formatting, etc. here so keep an eye on the community.

And finally, last but not least, your fearless mods will be presenting at the Left Coast Sherlock Symposium about what it's like to run Holmestice. We have a lot of hard data through 9 years of this exchange, but will need help with some of the more anecdotal stuff. Our plan is to reach out to the community here to get some of that from you, the participants. You may see a post or two from one of us to the community during this quiet time asking to share some of your experiences in the fandom, as a participant, and your thoughts about the comm in general! Thank you to all of you because without you, none of this would be possible!

Fun, fun re: the Left Coast Sherlock Symposium! I'll be curious to see what you mods come up with.

So happy to see this running again this year! M.

Oh gosh, your symposium presentation sounds so cool! I wish I could be there to see it. Any any any chance of it being recorded in some fashion...?

It's early days, so I haven't the foggiest what the arrangements will be. But we can always ask -- probably closer to the date -- and we'll let you know what we find out.

Thank you! So do I! Right now I'm all butterflies, but then we've hardly begun preparing -- I assume that will settle down once we actually have worked out what we're doing. (And then will ramp up again as we get closer to the date!)
