Once more into the London fog (no, Watson, I am not endorsing a line of raincoats)....

I will create:
A fanwork of the following type(s): fic

In one or more of the following parts of fandom:

Books: Doyle - Canon; Charlotte Holmes series - Cavallaro; Solar Pons series - Derleth; Mary Russell series - King; "Elemental Masters"/Holmes novels - Lackey; Moriarty series - Kurland; Holmes/Dracula File series - Saberhagen (etc. see notes)

TV/Film: Howard series; Christopher Lee films; Murder by Decree; Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century; Moriarty episodes (Star Trek: TNG); (etc. see notes)

For one or more of the following relationships: For the most part, I like to be canon-consistent both for ACD and with respect to pastiche-universes.  Thus, for ACD: Holmes & Watson as friends, Watson/Mary, etc., including Holmes/Irene; for King, Holmes/Russell; for 22CEN, Holmes/Lestrade (but not Holmes/Watson; I've read and liked that, but prefer not to write it).  For Cavallaro: oy. I'm still struggling with The Case for Jamie, but my take on Charlotte/Jamie is almost certainly AU (and notably less fraught).

I'm definitely open to writing romance, back story, or other riffs involving secondary characters not paired in canon (whether ACD or pastiche).

I like working with one or more of the following categories:
AU (canon divergence), casefic, crossover, fluff, friendship, gen, humor, missing scene, etc. -- I am not your writer for unremitting angst, and my interest in writing romance is highly canon-selective.

With any of the following ratings: 1) suitable for general audiences; 2) non-explicit sexual content;
…. 4) mild to moderate violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes; 5) moderate to explicit graphic violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes.

Let me put it this way: I am not your writer for splattery gore, but I am willing to behead somebody if the plot calls for such, or to ask difficult questions if a situation requires them.

I am willing to create for the following squicks and/or kinks: N/A.  I am likewise not your writer for explicit Holmesiana of whatever stripe.  (This is not to say that I won't or haven't read and appreciated such; it's just that my creative interests in that direction, such as they may be, just don't intersect my creative interests in all things Holmesian.)

I want to receive:
A fanwork of the following type(s): fic, podfic
In one or more of the following parts of fandom:

Books: Doyle - Canon; Enter the Lion – Hodel & Wright [Mycroft]; Mary Russell series - King; Moriarty series - Kurland; "Elemental Masters"/Holmes novels - Lackey; The Light Fantastic (Star Trek:TNG) - Jeffrey Lang; Holmes/Dracula File series – Saberhagen, (etc.; see notes)

TV/Film: Ritchie films; Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century; Murder by Decree; Young Sherlock Holmes; Moriarty episodes (Star Trek: TNG); (etc. see notes)

For one or more of the following relationships: See above; the relationship(s) I'm looking for depend to a great degree on the source material.  For ACD and close cousins, friendship fic is best; for Russellverse, Holmes/Russell is pretty much a given; for Cavallaro, see above -- her worldbuilding is amazing, but she seems constitutionally incapable of writing non-dysfunctional interpersonal relationships, even when her characters are smarter than that.

I like stuff in the following categories: AU (canon divergence), casefic, crossover, fluff, friendship, gen, humor, missing scene, romance (selectively) etc. - again, see above. I am not looking for either heavy angst or explicit sex (though I am not at all opposed to mature themes or suitable Gothic horror, so long as Our Heroes come through more or less safely), slice-of-life is just fine with me, and -- although this is wholly and entirely optional, and quite beyond the call of duty -- I am an absolute sucker for the clever and well-executed crossover.  Back story for secondary characters is encouraged, and worldbuilding ditto.

With any of the following ratings: 1) suitable for general audiences; 2) non-explicit sexual content;
4) mild to moderate violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes; 5) moderate to explicit graphic violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes.

As above, so again here.  Where romance is concerned, think canonical Russell (or canonical Amelia Peabody, from the Elizabeth Peters novels) for period settings; OTOH, in modern settings one can be a bit more flexible.

I wouldn’t mind any of the following squicks and/or kinks: N/A.  Although it occurs to me that if I get matched on Charlotte, some level of kink/squick may be inevitable -- in which case, I grant specific license for my writer to take that story where they think it needs to go.  We may have a long discussion about it afterward, but as I say above, I am still making up my mind about that relationship.

Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: The two main points to cover here are (1) I am conversant -- not unlike[personal profile] gardnerhill -- with far too many alt-Holmesian and pastiche works to list usefully in a signup proper.  Feel free to troll through my signups for past rounds and to comb through my fic on AO3 for indications of things I may have read or seen, and feel very welcome to build a story around one or another of those if the mood strikes.

A few specific prompts about some of the outliers in my lists, although you're totally free to ignore these in favor of ideas of your own:

King: The metafiction makes it clear that both Russell and Holmes have miraculously survived into the present day (and Russell can even be followed on Twitter!).  Perhaps a look might be had at Russell and Holmes fully and officially retired here in the "modern" era, which I will loosely define as anywhere past the 1960s or so.

Kurland: A focus on secondary or offstage characters would be welcome -- especially Madeleine and/or Irene Adler, Watson, and/or Mycroft.  Or one might have a look at the Professor's scientific researches....

Lackey: Per my linked recap above, any of: something Holmes-centric, esp. touching on Holmes' complex feelings about magic and magicians.  Back story for Watson/Mary (for that one, prior knowledge of the larger series will help). Also, further exploration of & reaction to the character who changes REDACTED FOR SPOILERS at the end of Bartered Brides (bearing in mind that Lackey may well Joss speculations over the next couple of volumes).

Lang: This is an excellent Star Trek:TNG novel featuring holo!Moriarty vs. Data (and Lal!) some time past what we saw in the theatrical TNG movies, plus cameos of varying degrees from androids and AIs from various parts of filmed Trek canon.  Room was left for a sequel which is increasingly unlikely to materialize, and I want to see what happened next.

Saberhagen: One of the best lines in The Holmes/Dracula File is the Count's to Holmes: "I congratulate you on thinking of wooden bullets." (The point being that there's not nearly enough repartee between the two in this series, because of the way the plots and POVs are constructed.) We also learn that Holmes may be a collateral descendant of Dracula's, and I'd be interested to see that aspect of this series explored.  A couple of other thoughts: in this universe, vampire!Mina is canonical, but almost totally offstage (thus available for adventures).  Also, if anyone other than me is so inclined, I would be immensely amused to see the results of crossing these books over with the Russellverse.

"Other": There are few Holmesian iterations that I wouldn't mind seeing more of, although I have bounced hard off of late Carole Nelson Douglas (the Irene Adler books start well but eventually jump the rails), "A Study in Emerald" (Gaiman), and the Vanneman iteration of "Giant Rat".  And I am very flexible as to style, tone, etc.; Lego Holmes, five Holmeses at once, and Solar Pons meeting Dr. Strange have all failed to faze me.

Podfic:
I would be delighted to hear any of my own Holmestice work podficced (or, alternatively, to hear podfics of any of the works gifted to me in prior rounds, with their creators' permission).  Alternately, just about any of the 22CEN material up on AO3, or much of the ACD-traditional fic we've had in the last round or two, would be a pleasure to hear in recorded form.

Special requests:
Per prior rounds: I now have my library properly shelved and can get at a considerable range of odd and older Sherlockiana.  Here's a list of things I have either (a), read recently and would read or write fic regarding, (b) I've noticed on the shelf lately and ought to reread, and/or (c) have bought lately but not read yet.  I have much more than this, though; feel free to query other material to see if I've read or have heard of it:

• D. R. Bensen - Sherlock Holmes in New York (movie novelization)
• Lloyd Biggle Jr. - The Glendower Conspiracy
Faye, Lyndsy - The Whole Art of Detection (but not as yet Dust & Shadow)
• Coopersmith, Grudeff & Jessel - Baker Street - (script/book of the stage musical)
• John S. Fitzpatrick - Sherlock Holmes: The Montana Chronicles (yes, really!)
• H. Paul Jeffers - The Adventure of the Stalwart Companions
McAlpine, Gordon -  Holmes Entangled
Van Ash,
Cay - Ten Years Beyond Baker Street (guest starring Dr. Fu Manchu)
