For write_out: You said John Watson-centric vid…. To get song ideas I ventured out to see what kind of music you like and found your Tumblr, saw you were a Duran Duran fan. This is my absolute favorite song by them; the music and lyrics are delightfully, baroquely dramatic. (A suitable choice for [series 4] Sherlock and John, I think.) I looked into how people--including the lyricist--interpreted the song (lyrics here) and there’s a consensus that it’s about someone riddled with guilt. There are things the person wishes they didn’t do and things they wish they said, mayhaps?? Enjoy!

When looking for a song/pertinent lyrics, I was determined to pick a song by either Duran Duran or the Pet Shop Boys. I was initially looking for a snappy, upbeat song, but my god it’s hard to make light of S4. So I ended up with Before the Rain and all this angst instead.
