I'm still interested in post-Reichenbach fics, particularly those that address the effects on Sherlock of his time "away."
As much as I concede that S4 of BBC Sherlock went off the rails, I'm also really interested in what happens if TFP is taken seriously. How are the Holmes family relationships repaired? Or are they? Did John have a consummated affair with Eurus, or spend a significant amount of in-person time with her? What was that like, and how did it end? How does Sherlock cope with the discovery that much of his past is fabricated? (A question I took up in one of my own fics but that I am fascinated to read other takes on.) Eurus murdered Sherlock's first friend, so how does it come to pass that Sherlock visits her and plays the violin for her? Does he genuinely forgive her? What do you know about Victor's parents that you would like to tell us?
N.B. that while I don't care for specific Mary-bashing, and I am interested in explorations of her character, I have never forgiven her for shooting Sherlock.
Em. Also, about Sherlock's characterization ... I absolutely see him as having changed and grown emotionally over the course of the series, and as courageous and deeply loving, but he also remains the person who tortured a dying man in the very first episode and who presumably killed some number of people during the hiatus. Just saying.
For ACD: I'm weak for fics that tell the tale behind the version Dr. Watson published. I'd also love to know more about Holmes's childhood and young adulthood. Dr. Watson's too! And I love stories that situate them in some real historical event or feature of Victorian London.
General DNWs: major character death unless at the end of a long life; Sherlock and John/Holmes and Watson permanently parted as lovers and/or alienated as friends; incest; asexual relationships; omegaverse; dementia affecting any of the major characters in a fic, including OCs.
