*with regards to violence—I have no problem going dark or violent in service of a story, but I'm not particularly interested in violence for its own sake or just for shock value.

I prefer happy endings, but I don't mind working with bittersweet or ambiguous/open endings. I'd rather not write Sherlock or John doing anything particularly horrible or unforgivable to one other.

I am willing to create for the following squicks and/or kinks: I'm fine working with case-related or non-explicit references to a variety of squicky subjects, but I'm probably not the right person to explore them in great detail.

I love Sherlock and John in character, with their wit and all of their imperfections. I like casefics. I like angst (with a happy ending or at least a hopeful one.) I like Sherlock and John who can 100% rely on one other, who at the end of the day are always there for each other no matter how many bumps in the road along the way. I like when John is exasperated by Sherlock but still completely, ridiculously, hopelessly fond of him. I never, ever, ever get tired of seeing these two come to the realization that they are in love with each other.

I like stories that explore character relationships. I enjoy delving into Sherlock and Mycroft's strange history. I like thinking about Sherlock and Molly and what it might take for their friendship to recover after the events of S4. I think about Sally Donovan, and what she's been up to lately. I wonder what happened in the time between S2 and S4 to make John feel comfortable asking Molly to be a godparent to his child (they had never seemed particularly close.) I wonder if Eurus ever paid Irene a visit on one of her many holidays from prison.

I don't hate Mary. That's not to say she can't be a villain—she definitely can! But if she's to be included in the story in any way I'd rather it not be just for the purposes of bashing her or handwaving away her importance to John and Sherlock.

I like fun tropes! Like maybe: oh no, there's only one bed! Or: we're trapped in the middle of a snowstorm with no heat and only one blanket! Fake relationships, any kind of but-it's-for-a-case justification for weird behavior, undercover or in disguise, or John rescuing Sherlock… I'd also love to see the boys spending their first Christmas back in 221B following S4.

Please no A/B/O, mpreg, big age differences or teacher/student. It's just not my jam. And please don't split John and Sherlock up permanently.
