This may also be in conjunction to changing how we use the Dreamwidth community as a host for Holmestice next round as well. We will make some announcements prior to the start of next round regarding this change.
Thanks for bringing it up. We apologize for not supporting it this round, but we felt uncomfortable making the change "on the fly" such as it is once the round launched. We'll advertise the change from the beginning next round.

Unfortunately, you can't just edit your existing post to send it to this community. (Believe me, we-the-mods have tried! Every round, we accidentally post something to the mod account instead of to the community.) Happily, you don't need to redo your work from scratch: you can just click "edit" on your existing post, copy all the HTML you find there, and paste it into a new post made to this community.

A few things that you should feel no obligation to include, but which make me go weak at the knees: beekeeping in Sussex, Holmes playing real violin music that I can look up on YouTube, Holmes and Watson negotiating addiction recovery, Mrs. Hudson loving her tenants but taking no crap, H or W supporting the other in mental illness, Holmes almost losing Watson, Watson doctoring Holmes, H and W’s poor communication leading to problems and being resolved.

Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: I generally enjoy plotty fluff, fluffy angst, ACD canon rewrites, missing scenes, nothing too explicit. Not a fan of genderswap or omegaverse. Crossovers with other Victorian book canons or detective canons and AUs are fine, but I tend to like the characters doing more of what they do in canon (perhaps making heart-eyes at each if I ship it). I'm not great at prompting, but...
For books, narrators other than Watson, or perhaps Watson decides to play Watson for someone else. Or they go on holiday and it is simply awful because there are no convenient and interesting murders or robberies. Lestrade, Gregson, Adler, Hunter POV is welcome. After years of not shipping Holmes with anyone, I suddenly started shipping Holmes/Lestrade, so there's that.
For BBC Sherlock, Canon rewrites are fun--perhaps Sherlock is actually a good detective when he's not being filmed. Maybe Sherlock decides to throw another Christmas party, or gets addicted to Science of Deduction: the app. BBC Sherlock/Lestrade is my OTP, but I'm not into teacher-student, or any scenario where the age difference between them is fetishised.
In all canons, I would prefer not to have Holmes/Watson, Sherlock/John, or Mycroft/Lestrade as a pairing, even in the background.
