I'm interested in reading a Johnlock horror fic - preferably with (arguable) supernatural/paranormal elements - based (very) loosely around the film Babadook. If you haven't seen the film but intend to (which I highly recommend, because it's fantastic), fair warning: SPOILERS AHEAD.

Essentially, I'm picturing a fic in which the lives of both Mary and the baby are threatened, and though Sherlock attempts to find their would-be assassins before they strike, he fails. Afterwards, a not-at-all-fine John moves back into 221B. John finds himself doing for Sherlock the things he intended to do for his daughter - feeding up, calming down, putting to bed, etc - and, thusly, develops a bit of resentment. Additionally, his PTSD starts acting up and he begins to see apparitions (a ghostly little girl, perhaps, or maybe something more similar to the Babadook in its visceral horror, there's a lot of creative leeway here), and subsequently becomes brooding, angry, aggressive, possibly even violent with Sherlock. In relation to Babadook, I'm basically casting John as the mother, Sherlock as the son, and John's lost daughter as the mother's late husband.

A couple of notes: To clarify, I am still looking for slash, though I concede that may or may not be possible in the parameters :/. Additionally, the film is great source material, so if anyone is crazy enough to actually write this, they should probably watch the film beforehand. Really, this is one of those fics I can think of so many concepts for, but would much rather read than write myself ;).

And as I said before, I realize this is hyper-specific. So if Johnlock horror with dark!John and a happy ending isn't possible, I'm open to reading pretty much any Johnlock or Mystrade otherwise. Contrary to the above prompt, I'm not actually very picky ;).

Special requests: I'm good at angst and can carry it pretty far, but I suck at non-happy endings. I just want them to be together, damn it! ;) Additionally, I also suck at keeping things short; so I might not be great for someone looking for a quick fic - my fics, at the very least, tend to be seven or eight thousand words, unless it's dialogue only, which I'm also happy to do.
