I'd also appreciate not having a re-hash or re-cap of any of the broadcast episodes or original ACD stories, although missing scenes would be fine.

I love dialogue, clever banter, in-characterness, plot twists, fix-its, pining, misunderstandings, outsider POV, UST that gets resolved, and all the punctuation in the right places. Show me Sherlock being brilliant and John being a BAMF and I will be completely happy. A well-done casefic will always win my heart. Grown-up boys doing stupid things is gold. Grown-up boys doing clever things is platinum. And I am usually particularly tickled when a fic teaches me something about a subject that is new to me, from horseback riding and martial arts to astrophysics and Farsi. like Victorian-era Holmes and Watson best when they pine and are in denial both to themselves and each other but end up together at the end anyway. I have a soft spot for BBC John and Sherlock when one of them pursues the other, even if only subtly. I love them in any era if they are damaged but make each other better. No dark!Sherlock or dark!John though, please.

Some more specific scenarios if you still need inspiration for fic:
* A past lover shows up (Victor, Sholto, Irene, Bill, David...??);
* John (or Watson) carries on an affair with Sherlock (or Holmes) while married to Mary;
* Sherlock has flashbacks to his Victorian mind palace and can't tell what's real;
* John and Sherlock (or Holmes and Watson) take a trip together, maybe for a case or maybe to recuperate after some terrible event

For art, I enjoy military!John, tender and romantic sex scenes and retirement era, although not necessarily all at the same time ;). Or an illustration for one of my fics would be super.

For videos, I love series 4 speculation, AUs, and fake movie trailers.
