All matches have gone out. You MUST acknowledge receipt of the email or we will consider you in default and send your recipient out for pinch hit.

If you would like to ask your recipient questions or have any other concerns, please contact the mods and we're happy to help you out.

Every cycle I type up this whole post on how matching works, especially with our "let's make Holmestice as diverse as possible" mindset. Then every cycle it slowly gets whittled down in "ugh, no one cares" slash and burn editing. These two sentences are what remains of this cycle's post.

Does anyone care about some of the back-end stuff to Holmestice? How matching is done, how many unique participants we've had? What percentage of each cycle is new people? How many different Holmes fandoms have actually been represented over the years of Holmestice? Any other nerdery? If so, I'd be happy to type a big meta up and post it in the coming weeks.

I care about the nerdy stuff! I think the back-end data sounds interesting. :)

I'm just watching but I read all the sign-ups and asked myself how to match such a bunch of different fandoms and pairings. So, I would love to read how it's been done. :)

Oh, come on, give us all the nerdy stuff! ^^
It is always interesting to see the background work. (And I'm personally interested in minor fandoms, as I'm not exactly head over heels for BBC Sherlock.)

I'm dying to know how the matching works -- even before I started participating, I would read through the sign-up posts and be left marveling. The stats sound interesting too. Go for it, please! (I'm amazed that you have the energy even to think about it.)

I think a post about the behind the scenes and stats would be fascinating! I've sort of tried to get a rough idea of some of it by looking back through the community, and I'd love to know more!

I, too, enjoy the stats and back-end posts. That being said, you have done SO MUCH for all of us. So my 'stats please' comes with a side of 'if YOU want to and have time'.

If you were to type up a meta-post like that (even just a little one) I'd certainly be interested in reading it. I do usually go through the signups and do some rough statistics in my head/on paper out of curiosity, and I'd really love to see the proper statistics. Also I've often wondered whether Holmestice is big enough for you to want/need to do some sort of automated pre-sort, and if so, how.
