Just a bit of housekeeping
Apr. 22nd, 2015 12:41 pmI didn't think of this since the whole optional posting to AO3 is new, but if your creator posts to AO3, they will need to enter in a user name to gift the fic to. Now, if they enter a name in that doesn't exist in AO3, no big deal, it's just not tied to an account. If you would like them to enter in YOUR name, however, so that you receive notification of posting on AO3 and that your gift shows up in your list of gifts on AO3 please provide your AO3 name in your sign-up post.
If you have not already indicated what your AO3 user name is in your sign-up post, it's probably best to put it directly below your name in your sign-up post.
The best way to do this is to go to your sign up post, click on edit, then add the following HTML to the post below your name:
< b>AO3 Username:</ b> [your AO3 user name]
(remove the spaces before the letter 'b' in the tag in order to make it work)
Any other edits to your post will not be taken into consideration for the purposes of matching at this point (I've already started the matching process, sorry).
Also, so as not to miss any announcements if you don't regularly check the community or your LJ flist, you should probably Track the Community. You can track just the tag !adminpost if you only want to receive notifications of these announcement posts. The mods will tag all info posts with !adminpost.
