Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: My fave is Mycroft-focused fic, but I'm really not fond of seeing him dumbed-down or romanticised so if you're not comfortable writing him as the fabulous bastard we see on screen, I'd prefer a different focus. Lestrade is another favourite character, so something that explores his life and work outside what we see on the show would be great, as would something about the Holmes parents; I love the S3 Mr & Mrs Holmes, so please no pre-S3 fanon depictions (and the name Sigur is a complete squick for me, for some reason).
I love stories that explore the espionage aspect of Sherlock and Mycroft's work, or even Lestrade's (supposed) involvement in that. I love to see the characters being clever, devious, or ingenious. I love banter. I like casefic, though for ACD canon I haven't read all the stories, so something that doesn't require knowledge of a specific story would be a lot less likely to leave me wondering what the heck is going on. One of my favourite types of story is one that explores the psychology of the characters, their secret motivations, and how that affects their friendships or familial or working relationships with each other.
It goes without saying that I'm not interested in any of the tropes associated with shipfic: mpreg, hurt/comfort, alpha/omega, etc. Also, please no crackfic, fluff, magical AU/fairy tales/supernatural elements, gender-swapped characters, songfic, sickfic, major character death, kidfic or character bashing. Please no Moriarty-focused fic as I think the character is incredibly boring.
Special requests: In terms of what I feel comfortable being able to offer: I can work with a pretty broad range of Gen requests. I'd prefer to not write for someone who wants fic about Moriarty, Irene or Sally because I don't think I could do them justice. Other than that, the tropes I'd prefer not to write are the same as the ones I'd prefer not to receive: crackfic, fluff, magical AU/fairy tales/supernatural elements, gender-swapped characters, songfic, sickfic, major character death, kidfic, or anything that is ordinarily associated with shipfic. Unless you hate that person and want them to get really crap fic. :D
