Date: 2013-12-24 07:53 am (UTC)This is so lovely and pleasing. I like to think that Martin Crieff is waiting for Sherlock to ascend into his true form as an F-16 (Fighting Falcon), anxious to grasp Sherlock's throttle and rev his afterburners, riding him deep into the stratosphere.*
Thank you very much. I could not have asked for a better gift this year.
*I am well aware that the F-16 (Fighting Falcon) has a maximum altitude of 40,000 feet, but this is technically within the theoretical limits of the stratosphere provided the flight takes place near the poles and not the equator (where it would be in excess of 50,000 feet).
