Taking a crack at this...
Apr. 17th, 2013 09:24 pmName: arthurjraffles
Contact email: I know where a mod lives. I’ll don mask and gloves and deposit it in the safe.
I will create: fic
In the following parts of fandom: ACD canon, Granada, 2009 film, Study In Emerald, Gillette/Barrymore, Raffles, Seven Percent Solution
For the following pairings: Anyone or none, leaning towards the none-ish or background romance
I like working with the following categories: Gen, crack, AU, stealth or otherwise crossover, character study. Fantasy, scifi, magical realism, most genres are fun to play with. I’ll even try my hand at opera libretto. [No. No, I won’t. Not that last one.]
I am willing to create for the following kinks: Not really. Accidental overtones are about as good as I’ll get.
I want to receive: fic, art
In at least one of the following parts of fandom: Raffles, ACD, Granada, 2009 film, BBC Sherlock, Rathbone.
For at least one of the following pairings:Any or none, leaning towards the none-ish or background romance
I like stuff in the following categories: Gen, AU, crack, fluff, covert/overt crossovers
I wouldn’t mind any of the following kinks: I am a timid rabbit, really, so not really.
Please include further details about what you’d like to receive:
I’m a bit of a literature (high and low) addict, so bring on the crossovers and cameos, fictional or historical. A word of warning, though, in that historical persons might get a footnote request as well.
Steampunk aesthetic or scifi or any other sort of AU, if you’re clever and blithe, would be a treat. Strangely, while I can write it for others, I’m not that keen on the Lovecraftian or Machen-esque nameless horrors, so leave those to the penny dreadfuls.
In particular, I’d like to see ACD interacting with more than the same old selection of Historical Persons, or the usual Required Reading of 19th c. novels. Timeshifts would be intriguing, and if no-one else writes the Regency AU I just might have to.
BBC Sherlock interacting with similarly updated literary figures would be a high treat, and the Ritchieverse smorgasbord of pseudotechne with Bonus!Explosions! can always use some old familiar (or unfamiliar) faces traipsing through the rubble.
Granada is always welcome, naturally.
And as the name implies, give me Raffles and I am your man forever.
Special requests: Have mercy on a mere amateur ficcer, going for a first innings.
