Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: I subscribe to the belief that - whether they're boyfriends or BFFs - Sherlock and John are pretty much soulmates. Whether their relationship is the focus of whatever my gifter produces or not, I love seeing that undeniable, vaguely bizarre and sometimes frustrated solidity between them. This can either be on the softer, more romantic 'we complete each other' side or the 'we need each other like breathing and it's SO bad for us but it works so we don't care' angle. Or both, if you're feeling particularly ambitious, I suppose. I'm not a bottom!Sherlock fan, so please no explicit sexual content with him bottoming.

I'm a sucker for banter, affection of all sorts, teamwork, competency, humour, awesome characters being awesome, bravery and overcoming the odds. I like it when characters surprise other people (which often tends to be John with his jumper-cloaked BAMF-ness, but Sherlock being adorable and/or sort of terrifying by actively showing how much John matters to him also makes me very happy). I'm a big fan of AUs and magic realism (I am not-so-secretly a fan of ordinary but extraordinary John, fairy tales are awesomesauce, and there can never be enough creature!people stories out there), but the BBC canon is absolutely fantastic and I will never be disappointed to receive something that adds lovely extra little details to it. Case fic that involves someone playing bait? Slice of life, 'we need to find a hotel because Sherlock literally blew up his bedroom' problems? Any and every excuse to dress up John Watson? Outsider POV of the chaotic impossibility that is Sherlock&John? It's all awesome.

I'm not a huge fan of Reichenbach-related angst and tend to be the fingers-in-ears kind of fan when it comes to the post-fall hiatus. I prefer at least ambiguously happy endings where possible, but please feel free to add a bittersweet/melancholy quality if that suits the direction your muses want to take you. Infidelity/cheating squicks me right out, but breaking up with someone you're not in love with to be with someone you are in love with is fine. I generally like Moriarty better when he's being diabolical in the ether somewhere rather than causing rifts and emotional/physical scarring up close and personal.

Special requests: While I'm fine with writing explicit sexual content, I tend to swing more towards plot than porn when I write so I probably would be pretty useless at writing PWPs. I really don't do unhappy endings, but am totally cool with including angst along the way.
