In at least one of the following parts of fandom: ACD canon, BBC Sherlock
For at least one of the following pairings: Sherlock/John, Mycroft/Lestrade, Mycroft/John
I like stuff in the following categories: slash, angst (just a little please if you add it), asexuality, historical AU, light fluff, case fic
I wouldn’t mind any of the following kinks: kissing, cuddling, vanilla, sensuality/sensual/tactile, clothing
Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: I love pieces that break your heart ever so perfectly and then put it back together; if it isn't in my kinks or categories, assume it is a squick (to be more specific, you can look through the pieces I've written to know exactly the things I avoid and the things I like). Scenes/stories that take place when it's snowing, in front of a fireplace, in candlelight; I prefer characters to remain in character, to not be emotional, to not have sudden "Oh, I love my flatmate! I am gay!", to not be pining away like some Victorian maiden, to not spend the entire piece angsting over falling in love with a gender they hadn't ever thought of. If Holmes and Watson are in a relationship, if Sherlock and John are in a relationship--I prefer an unconventional relationship, one that they define themselves and do not use any definition we may wish to apply. I don't have a care either way if it's a getting together piece or is some bit of life fic where the relationship is established. I don't care much for fics where one or both characters are placed in such a situation where they must admit their feelings, face what they've been ignoring. I especially like holidays pieces where John and/or Lestrade meet Mummy, but the fic does not have to be holiday themed--it's enough that it happens in December and possibly there's snow happening sometime in the fic. Love well developed sentences and paragraphs--three d to the words and story is an excellent definition for that; I like a little meat to the words I'm reading.
Prompts--these aren't in any kind of order and you can use just one or combine parts of them all to make the story.
1. Scotland. Of all the places, it had to have been Scotland. And now there was a snowstorm on the way. "We could have been home, not freezing. I probably would be taking out the turkey right about now and we could sitting down a lovely dinner. Instead we are stuck out here, in the middle of nowhere, being buried alive!" "Just a little longer, John, and we'll be back in the bed and breakfast and we'll be warm." "I'm going to hold you to that."
2. This was cosy--fire was lit, drinks were waiting on a side board, dinner was laid out. Just one problem--where was Mycroft? This had better not be another dinner spent alone.
3. Vest. Pants. Socks. Sock garter. Button up. Trousers. Waistcoat. Tie. Watch. This--watching Mycroft Holmes get dressed--was the best part of the morning. And later...he was one very lucky man to get to see this.
4. Holmes' hands were chilled where they touched his neck, but the rest of him was warm. God, was he warm. Their clothes were pulled off in short order and the bedclothes pulled down. As always, Holmes was so responsive, but here, in the privacy of his family's manor and estate, he seemed to let go. He was so alive and it seemed such a treasure that I was the one who saw him like this.
5. "So let me get this straight--your dog refuses to leave the barn, your wife has gone missing, and a fog keeps happening where you claim there never has been before?" "You forgot the groans and moans and earth shaking, my dear Watson." "Right. Are we--" "Oh, yes, we have a case."
6. "There really isn't anything I find more intriguing that a soldier who has overcome his field trauma. How did you do it?"
