We've received messages from a few of you about doing another round of holmestice because apparently it's become something of a small fixture. colebaltblue and I discussed this and decided we didn't want anyone's sadface on our conscience, so sign-ups are going to open in a bit.

But!

We really don't have the time to run this anymore and thus need

• help with this year's posting, tracking down late works and finding pinch-hitters.


• someone to code the Master List (depending on the number of entries; if it's a small round, I can do that myself).


• two or more volunteers to take over from now on.

That last point is the most important one, obviously. Ideally, we're looking for two or more volunteers to help out this round with an eye to running the exchange in the future. We'd like to show you how we've been handling things in the background so far. We'll talk about how the exchange could be run better. Most of all, I want to know we're handing Holmestice over to someone who loves it as much as I did.

I'd like to stress that, help or no, this is definitely the last time colebaltblue and I are running this. If no one has time to take over, that's understandable and perfectly fine. We thank you all for your enthusiasm and making this exchange the fun it's been. :)

As a participant, I'm more than willing to do anything I can. Tracking down pinch hitters/Hounding late people/posting so long as... you know, it doesn't compromise my role in the fest, etc. And I would be willing to take over duties as a future co-mod, but I don't think I could possibly do it on my own. So if another person is willing, then I'm right there with them :)

Same here. I'd be willing to help this time (though in that case I won't sign up), and I could take over as a co-mod. I'd be more comfortable if there were at least two more, though, because there are times when work doesn't leave me a lot of spare time.

It's perfectly fine to sign up and mod at the same time. You might have to resist looking at your gift before it's posted, but other than that we've never had any trouble.

I think I'll have to do this round since it could be the last! I enjoyed my first Holmestice experience earlier in the year. Is the timeline posted anywhere? Just wondering about the deadlines.
I really hope you get new volunteers to carry on. I always feel that I've come late to the party, and I'd love the chance to continue in Holmes fests like this one.
