We don't have to go home.
Oct. 7th, 2012 01:45 pmBut we can't stay here.
We've received messages from a few of you about doing another round of
holmestice because apparently it's become something of a small fixture.
colebaltblue and I discussed this and decided we didn't want anyone's sadface on our conscience, so sign-ups are going to open in a bit.

That last point is the most important one, obviously. Ideally, we're looking for two or more volunteers to help out this round with an eye to running the exchange in the future. We'd like to show you how we've been handling things in the background so far. We'll talk about how the exchange could be run better. Most of all, I want to know we're handing Holmestice over to someone who loves it as much as I did.
So if you're interested in helping out, please contact us at holmesticemods@gmail.com (or leave us a comment here) and tell us in what way you can/want to assist us so we can work something out.
I'd like to stress that, help or no, this is definitely the last time
colebaltblue and I are running this. If no one has time to take over, that's understandable and perfectly fine. We thank you all for your enthusiasm and making this exchange the fun it's been. :)

Date: 2012-10-07 04:34 pm (UTC)It's perfectly fine to sign up and mod at the same time. You might have to resist looking at your gift before it's posted, but other than that we've never had any trouble.

Date: 2012-10-07 05:17 pm (UTC)I really hope you get new volunteers to carry on. I always feel that I've come late to the party, and I'd love the chance to continue in Holmes fests like this one.

As for future events, I'm happy to work alongside others. However, I have no experience, so if more experienced people are stepping forward, I will defer to them.
