The third round of
holmestice is officially over and done with! 56 participants worked their little fingers off to create some awe-inspiring fanworks, in some cases with record speed. You're all amazing, thank you so much!
If you would like to hazard a guess as to who may have created a particular gift, you're welcome to do so in the comments of this post.
The Masterlist for this round will be posted on January 1st (yes, despite certain fannish happenings that day; no, we will not change our schedule; no, please do not post your work anywhere else before the list goes up; yes, I will happily answer any questions you may have in that regard; yes, the list will go up extra-early in the day to make sure you can archive in peace). Again, we encourage you to catch up on your reading/marvelling and to perhaps leave the odd comment if you find something you've enjoyed. Please, if you're one of this year's participants (even if you had to drop out) and someone created a gift just for you, do take the time to thank them for it. Comments are love. :)
Thank you for participating, cheering, commenting and lurking, and a happy Holmesian Solstice to you all!

Date: 2011-12-21 07:39 pm (UTC)And a big 'thank you' to all the writers and artists who contributed. I've been SO impressed with what's been posted; everyone has done a wonderful job! I'm really looking forward to seeing the reveals on Jan 1.
And hmm, it seems like there's something else going on that day that I was looking forward to... something fandom-related.... oh well, I'm sure it'll come to me. :D

Date: 2011-12-21 08:01 pm (UTC)We've had a great round. As long as everyone had fun, we're happy!
Something fannish, you say. Hmmm... Well, whatever it is, I'm sure it's not important. ;)

Date: 2011-12-21 08:04 pm (UTC)And somethings happening Jan 1st? What? Did I miss a memo or something? (j/k, j/k)

Date: 2011-12-21 08:13 pm (UTC)Oh, didn't you know? The new Ritchie movie gets released in Lithuania on Dec 30th, so there'll probably be fic from that corner of fandom on the 1st. Also, I hear the Australian fans have preparatory watch-alongs for their release on the 5th. Or something. Do you know, I never got the point of staggered release dates.

Date: 2011-12-21 08:16 pm (UTC)I have had a great time reading all the entries (though I still have to catch up on some)! I especially enjoyed the huge variety of fic, may it be from different canons or completely different types of stories. That was very refreshing. :-)
Well done, everybody! Now let's play a little guessing game to shorten the time until January 1st. ^^

Date: 2011-12-22 06:39 pm (UTC)Ah, yes, if the internet weren't full of shiny things, I'd have to wait ages (German here) and suffer through hideous dubbing on top of that. Brrr.
