Assignments sent!

All assignments have been sent out. You have until Saturday (your time) to reply and confirm receipt. If you haven't replied by the time I get up on Sunday, I'll start looking for a pinch-hitter for your recipient.

I've also put up a short text sample explaining which html-tags we do and don't need for story submissions, so if this is your first time participating or you aren't sure how much work you'll have to put into tagging, please take a look. We need only very few tags, so this is your chance to be lazy. ;)

Please note that while we are happy to help with tagging, we won't do it for you unless you ask very nicely and send each of us a box of chocolate. If you send us a story without html-tags (and no chocolate), it will be posted without extra formatting even if it is really, really obvious that you wanted lots of italics.

If anyone has it, or if they don't mind downloading a client, I recommend Semagic for this sort of thing. You can copy the contents of your fic, paste it into Semagic, and either let it paste as HTML or simply go through the WYSIWYG editor and highlight the bits that you want to code and hit the appropriate format button. And then when you're done, just drop the coded text back into your word processor of choice.

It's basically a word processor, but for posting to LJ. I've been using it for years, both for posting and for checking HTML in coded documents.
