Summary: A letter from an old client catches Watson by surprise, and causes him to realise that his feelings for Holmes may not be unrequited.
Author Notes: I was very drawn to my recipient's prompt for a fanwork about Sir Henry from the Soviet adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles from 1981 (because the guy does have a certain special something going on), and after a rewatch, his final scene with Dr Mortimer and the Barrymores gave me all the inspiration I needed. This could also be read more-or-less as canon fic, but mostly sticks with the chronology and storyline of that version.
