With regard to squicks and/or kinks, I'd draw the line at...:
I come at this from a different angle than most. For this exchange, I'm not looking for explicit sex/kink onscreen; these fandoms and that sort of content simply don't intersect in my head. (Oddly enough, this does not stop me from reading other folks' Holmestice stories including sexual content and appreciating the craft in them.) Indeed, I have no objection to anyone's characters - subject to the informed consent of everyone involved - having whatever sorts of sex lives they so choose, and I recognize the need for acknowledged villains to commit acts of villainy (possibly including torture, sexual depravity, etc.) in the interests of their evil goals. Just don't overdo the splatteriness of the gore, try not to murder or permanently break our heroes/heroines/sidekicks, and see that the villains are given their due for such evil as they commit.
Further details:
I am vast, I enjoy multitudes. The foregoing lists reflect current preferences but are not exhaustive. If there's a Holmesian fandom or relationship I've mentioned in prior signups (or written/received in a prior round) but have omitted here, feel free to scoop up whatever prompts I may have given at the time and run with them. This is a reason that I haven't tried to give detailed prompts for everything; if you need more specific suggestions in particular fandoms once we're matched, have the mods ping me and I'll be glad to oblige.
The singular exception: canonical Cavallaro (A Study in Charlotte, etc.). Suitably drastic fusions/fixits spun off that canon (the more canon-divergent the better) are welcome - partner Charlotte and Enola, introduce her to Saberhagen's Dracula, or make her a foil for Star Trek's version of Moriarty, I am totally on board - but the series as written runs too far and too fast off the rails for me.
I'm also terminally addicted to crossovers - while indulging me on this is totally optional and at your own discretion, if you are so minded you are completely welcome to introduce characters from one Holmesian variant to characters from another. Given the above lists, one might look particularly at ACD/Pons (maybe Mycroft and Bancroft?) or at introducing Enola Holmes to either Mary Russell or one of Saberhagen's cast (either Mina or Dracula would likely find her intriguing). These are far from the only choices, though. Also, if anyone else is actually versed in both the Fitzpatrick and Millett material, I could certainly see potential in connecting those series.
A note or two on particular alt!canons: first, regarding the Star Trek callout, I'm of course interested in TNG's (and now Picard's) holographic Moriarty, but also in the matter of Spock's familial connection to Holmes from either end of the timeline (or both?). And now that Kitten!Holmes exists, I'm totally on board for further exploration of the concept (canonical end-credits vid linked above). As T. Rhymer pointed out at the time, if there's a kitten Sherlock, there may also be a feline Macavity/Moriarty in play....
On non-prose options: In the interests of variety - and because I'm extraordinarily curious to hear what might come of it - I've modified my requested media this round to include music. I'm not offering music, at least not yet; while I have been known to commit filk lyrics and sing in convention circles, the only instruments I play are stereos and smartphone music apps, and I hesitate to inflict my wholly untrained voice on the unwary ear. Podfic, however, remains on both sides of the offer/request list.
Special requests:
As above, so below - I'm familiar with a significantly wider range of Holmesian pastiche and media than I can list in any one signup, I've been known to create gifts in fandoms I've not actually been matched on, and I'm generally happy to wade into some of the odder corners of Holmesiana. Likewise, I'm drawn to crossovers as both recipient and writer, and have works in my repertoire featuring a variety of tones. That said, I'm not a good match for someone looking for explicit sexual material, heavy romance, or angsty darkfic. Note to moderators: absolutely feel free to consult if necessary regarding possible matches not contemplated by the current signup.
