A Holmesian Solstice

Oh my gosh, thank you! I love how much this vid is centered on Watson's gaze. It really hammered in that each Holmes is a different character, who really do all have their own eye colors, but they all have that ineffable Holmesian quality. Plus, it's such a neat way of kind of translating the Canon conceit and POV into vid form. His stories are such a love letter to Holmes, and an inadequate attempt to capture what he loved most about Holmes. I really like that you begin by interpreting the opening lyrics in terms of John & the blog. The shots of writing and drawing were gorgeous as a way of communicating that every Watson is in their own way trying to capture Holmes's image. The boxer scene was such a punchy way of visually capturing what the lyrics were saying! I love that you incorporated some print & video game stuff too, including my beloved G5 Sherlock - the quotes you selected fit so well! Ending on just Holmes's name was such a powerful statement.
