I think part of the issue of "everyone" gliding past guessing gardnerhill for "Fabrication", is that the people who are subscribed to her, and thus know her writing the best, were spoiled for her authorship due to the posting glitch, and thus felt honour-bound to keep mum. As I presume you were doing yourself, yes? Which meant that the only people actually guessing on "Fabrication" were less-acquainted with gardnerhill's complete body of work, and thus didn't realize how solidly it landed within her range.
