I had a lot of fun turning the default POV on its head by making the Chinese-American modern woman the main Watson and all the white Victorian males mere avatars of her! Every now and then we need reminding that just because our media defaults to White, Straight and Male, we don't need to. And I thank Elementary for making my white ass notice that once in a while, too.
I can totally see "Everyone" humiliating Sherlock with their version of Brony activity.
And it goes back, as SH always does, to Doyle Canon - where, at least in this story, Watson will miss Holmes terribly but will not have to grieve him for three years.
