I can't say that the tags "Holmes/Moriarty", "major character death", "minor character death" and "nasty things happening to innocent people in passing" filled me with enthusiasm to read the fic, and I can't truly say that I'm glad I read it.
But I am full of admiration for this strange world you've created, for the quality of your writing, and for all the original ideas the story contains. Poor Mary's fate in particular stood out for me. Paradoxically, your decision that she should be a victim of Moriarty and Moran shows such respect for the character - shows her importance to Watson and to Holmes.
