I am willing to create for the following squicks and/or kinks: I am willing to entertain the inclusion of any kink, but am not your person to write a story centered on it. I am squicked by "daddy" but will write around and hint at it (i.e. I'll write that two characters have that dynamic, but I won't write a story centering on it). I have a hard time with dead children or raped women as plot devices. It's not that they can't be in the story at all, but I can't center a story on those two topics.

My favorite non H/W pairings are Holmes/Hopkins and Watson/Morstan. I do not like Lestrade's character in any of the iterations I mentioned above so please no Lestrade-centered stories.

I wouldn’t mind any of the following squicks and/or kinks: I do not want a story centered on kink, however please feel free to include any kink as part of your characterization. I am squicked by "daddy" and would prefer that not be included. Child abuse/death is a strict Do Not Want, however I have no problem with mentions or references to (i.e. you can mention Holmes was abused as a child or has a dead sister, but I don't want to read a story about his abusive childhood)

Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: I'd like a Watson-centric story if possible.
I love Watson. My two favorite Watsons are Jude Law's Watson and Lucy Liu's Watson. I know I didn't include Elementary as a fandom, but that's because I'm not up to date on it. Please feel free to borrow characterizations from Joan though! My Watson is smart, capable, and perfectly aware what a complicated yet utterly human person his (or her!) Holmes is. Gender bending is absolutely acceptable. Please ping the mods if you want specific prompts - I am happy to provide them. I like adventure, backstories, and context. I believe in the fundamental goodness and ingenuity of all people. I have kids so kidfic can be very hit or miss with me because I get frustrated easily when it's clear the authors don't have a lot of experience with kids. I'm obsessed with horses and believe that Holmes grew up riding and loves it and that Watson is functional but could give a shit about it. My favorite Coules is LION, my favorite Doyle is The Blanched Soldier. I'm new to the Kopl comics by ADORE Holmes's complete (purposeful?) obliviousness to how others view him and Watson's very patient acceptance of it all. I actually LOVE how wild and crazy the Richie films are and absolutely 100% am head over heels in love with Jude Law's Watson. I like my Watson smart, cheerful, and exasperated. I like my Holmes kind, intelligent, and completely befuddled by the point he just missed. Above all, those two love each other deeply and love is both incredibly complex and very simple.

Special requests: I'd like to keep my streak of having my contribution be unguessable :-D

Please keep an eye on your email during the next week -- if we have questions about your sign-up we will reach out via email or a comment or both. In such cases, we will need an answer from you before we can continue matching.

Just as a reminder, we'll spend the next week or so furiously matching with assignments. We'll post a notice here when matches have been sent out. Both mods will be at the Left Coast Sherlock Symposium so our goal is to get them out before that starts since we plan to be very busy at the Symposium!

A few reminders:

• We try to match as much as possible for diversity in the creations - this means if you've offered or asked for a rarer source or pairing we'll probably attempt a match on that.
  
• We do our best to make sure that everyone has at least a couple of options in their matches.
  
• We look back at least 6 rounds (3 years) in an effort not to re-match, but depending on your request you may be re-matched with someone you have created for before.
  
• Requests for re-matches can be very difficult to accommodate since usually everyone has already been assigned out. That said, we do sometimes make mistakes, so please reach out to communicate with us.
  
• Any changes made to your sign-ups after this post goes up may not be taken into consideration for matching purposes!

As always, we'll post calls for pinch-hitters and betas soon -- please keep an eye out for those. As we near the submission deadline, we'll post reminders and instructions on how to submit your creations.
