Matching is done and we will be sending those out soon!
A few reminders on matching:
AND FINALLY, for something nerdy, we have two participants this round who were with us for the very first Holmestice! If I get bored I might look and see if that's the case for every round we've ever done (had a participant who participated in the very first round).
A few reminders on matching:
- While reading through the entries you may have decided you're a perfect match with someone, and you probably are, but in order to get EVERYONE matched sometimes the matching gets a little creative.
- If you offer a rare pair/fandom I do try to ensure you're matched on it, but sometimes I just can't get it there.
- We continue to guarentee that you will have at least 1 fandom, 1 pairing, and a few categories in common.
- If you do not offer at least the main Holmes/Watson pairing in the two biggest fandoms (canon, BBC) then the above will be more likely.
- And it's FINE if you don't! We LOVE diversity at Holmestice. This exchange has really become the time for some rare pairs/fandoms to shine.
- We continue to be happy to facilitate communication between you and the person you're creating for if you need to ask them questions.
- One final note on the rare pairs/fandoms - if you request the same rare pair/fandom every round of Holmestice it can really limit matching. It makes it infinitely easier if you diversify your requests/offers - mix it up a bit! Definitions of rare can really vary so I don't want to list things out here, but offering more choices to me when I do my matching is really helpful.
- OR, drag some people who create fanworks in that rare pair/fandom over here next round and ask them to participate!
