Works Due TODAY!

Your works are due today. What counts as "today" is pretty flexible - as long as it's November 24th somewhere in the world when you send it in, you're good.
In case there is any confusion, please email us your works, we can handle the standard wordprocessing formats. You may also submit your story as a google doc directly to the mod account. If you are submitting art, vids, podfics, etc. you may host it yourself or the mods can host it for you. If you are hosting it yourself, your hosting account must NOT reveal your user name or link back to an account that will identify you.
If you need an extension, please let us know today.
If you aren't going to finish, please also let us know ASAP as we need to get your recipient out for pinch-hit. If you default with no communication you risk being black-listed from future exchanges and you will make your mods very, very, very sad.
We ask that your works be html tagged, this means that if you have formatting in your story, bold, italics, underlines, center alignment, etc. you need to have the corresponding "tag" or it will not show up when it is posted to LJ. You do NOT need to tag paragraphs or line breaks (LJ does this automatically) as long as when you copy and and paste your text they show up. We are unable to tag your works for you, but we are happy to help if you're new to html tagging.
Individual entries on LJ can handle posts of roughly 10,000 words. This means if your story is more than 10,000 words it will need to be posted in 2 (or more) parts. We will divide stories ourselves into roughly equal-sized parts if they come in undivided and post all parts on the same day one after another. If you have a specific break you would like us to use, please indicate that when submitting your story. Since posting too many things can flood friends lists on LJ, if you have a multi-part work that is NOT more than 10,000 words per part, we will use our discretion when posting and may combine parts into a single post (but contact us, we're happy to work with you!).
And finally, Holmestice is anonymous! Please feel free to squee far and wide when you receive your gift, but do try to keep mum when the work you created goes up! We will post reveals on or around January 1st and open up the AO3 community to receive works and you can respond to comments at that time!
