I like working with the following categories: I'm pretty flexible, actually, and will try to write most of the major genres. I have a hard time writing a story I can't accept as a serious possibility so would prefer to avoid the more extreme AUs (i.e. I can give you Sherlock going undercover as a figureskater, but a story where he's literally turned into an otter may be a bit beyond me, sadly). I also don't do character-bashing or gender swaps and for personal reasons would rather not write about suicide, suicidal ideation, terminal illness, etc. But kid!lock, parent!lock, sexuality or just flat out sex, story-relevant violence, themes as dark as the hollowed-out husk that once was Moffatt's heart - not a problem.

I like cases, Sherlock facing situations he never faced before and making the best of it, Sherlock and John really learning from each other. I wouldn't mind anything within the boundaries of what I already stated earlier, so if you've got anything along those lines in mind, feel free to work on that.

If you'd like specific prompts, though:
1. Sally and Sherlock: She can't have hated him on first sight. I'd like a background story there. A very in character and not bashed Sally would be wonderful, because I can actually imagine that Sherlock went wrong somewhere and it went from there
2. Lestrade meeting Sherlock (and Mycroft!) for the first time
3. Maybe some insights from outsider POVs (Lestrade, Mike Stamford, Mrs. Hudson, whoever ...) on John and Sherlock living together. Can be gen, can be slash, can be an asexual relationship.
4. John, Mary, Sherlock: "If you break his heart, you'll regret it" - take this and run with it.
5. John and Sherlock being on the receiving end of homophobic remarks or worse - how do they deal with it? This would be especially ineresting if it's gen / bromance.

I absolutely don't like character bashing or OOC. Sends me running.
