Summary: When Sherlock Holmes stepped up to the edge of the
roof of St Bart’s, he had every faith that the combined might of the
Holmes brothers was going to win out over Moriarty’s machinations once
and for all. His confidence had been in vain. When faced with the
choice between almost certain death and the lives of those closest to
him, Sherlock chose to sacrifice everything for their safety.
This is the story of those people doing all that they could to pay him back.
Author's Notes: My undying gratitude goes out to M, without whose constant and unwavering support and creative input, this story would never have been realized. Thanks to K, for sifting through my blatant abuse of tense with a fine toothed comb. Thank you Y for the Brit-pick and a taking the time to add a frankly ridiculous number of commas as needed. And lastly, much appreciation to G for the hand-holding, encouragement and canon-picking. This fic took a village to create.
