I am not familiar at all with ASIE, but just the same, I was blown away with the gorgeous language and imagery of your story. This makes me want to go read A Study in Emerald now, because the world sounds fascinating. Lovely interactions between Mycroft and Sherlock; I love stories that emphasize their relationship.
