Wow, this is really lovely! Thank you so much, dear anon! ♥
The first sentence already was a perfect and brilliant start and I'm amazed how well you manage to get inside Irene's head. Her thoughts and motivations were very believable and rang perfectly true with how we've met her in the series. I really liked all the little details you put in which made her seem like a real and well rounded person, like her missing her lipstick, memorizing phone numbers and checking Sherlock's heart rate just in case. :-)
Sherlock's and Irene's interactions were pitch-perfect, rapid banter back and forth and both of them being more vulnerable and depending on each other than they want to admit. Trying to stay in control, trying black-mail even though it's perfectly clear (to everyone but them) that they actually need each other for company. That was brilliantly done! ♥
Further, I absolutely loved the bit about the Chinese deliverymen being assassins (or her imagining so to stop being bored...) and "she made him a cup of tea just to confuse him" made me laugh out loud! :-D Yes, that's Irene how I imagine her! And now she'll always be "Irene Adler, crime fighter". :-)
What a really fascinating study of Irene, Sherlock and their relationship! Thank you so much, I enjoyed this fic very, very much! :-)
