How very lovely. I love the tiny mouse feet! The sprig of green! And the print of the thimble in the pudding.

Wonderful! Your art is very much its own style, but it brings back memories of Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Two Bad Mice, which I adored as a kid. Thank you!

This is really, really good - not least because it's both utterly true to the characters and source canons, yet very much its own stylistically, rather than overtly copying either the Disney animators or Paul Galdone's illustrations for the original books.

Side note: I did not know, prior to backtrailing the source canon online this morning, that there have been several new Basil volumes released just in the last few years, written and illustrated by a new creative team. I am not sure how I feel about this (I presume it must have been done with the consent of Titus' heirs, at least) without having seen the results, but now I'm clearly going to have to go and look them up.

Thank you so much mystery artist for this gorgeous picture! I am so delighted that you choose the original Basil and Dawson and rendered them in your own delicate style. The thimble pudding is a charming stroke of genius! I love all the little realistic details you're added, not only the textures but also how collage-y every piece looks. And Basil's little feet!! As someone else said, I adore the original illustrations and the Disney version, but this is truly your own spin on the characters and you made them so life-like. Thank you again, this is truly a lovely Christmas present :)
