Ha, yes, I'm glad I finally let my impatience get the better of me and asked, because I'd been eagerly checking here, on the guessing post, and was so baffled that you never came back and made your guesses! Never even thought to look on the Dreamwidth posts for those works. :D
No, of course I didn't expect you to know my email. (Although it's very funny to me that you were SO thrown by that. It was literally just me using my main email account, since I couln't be bothered to dig out the fandom-adjacent email I've occasionally used in the past...) Anyway, it wasn't my email address I was afraid you'd recognize; I just wanted to stop you before you scrolled far enough down within the email itself to see the header for the fic, which would include my username and thus give it away. I didn't even know if the whole thing would work (maybe you would be the one doing backend things on AO3 and would see the work there) so I'm very pleased to know that you DID open the email, but were sufficiently warned off to be able to preserve the surprise. :-)
And I'm VERY DELIGHTED that I actually managed to slip my authorship past you and evade your guessing! Hurrah!! I thought it would be entirely obvious, since Judaism is something we share (though probably that's true of some others here and I just don't know it?) and we've talked about in the past. I remember you saying something about not having a lot of Jews around to celebrate with where you live, and also expressing frustration at people playing down the importance of Chanukah, so I wanted so much to give you some small Chanukah treat this year. That I could set it in Watson & Holmes, a 'verse I know you love, was just a little extra on top. The shammash on the menorah, if you will.
I'm sorry you've been sick and I hope you're getting better!
