I have a lot of ideas for this round, and they all pretty much hinge on the need to just give in to my whimsies this year. So let's get into it!
Doyle - Canon/Granada: I will gladly take any Holmes/Watson I can get, but I have a mighty need for some ot3s. I'm criminally soft for Holmes/Watson/Mary, especially as they learn to navigate this new, queer dynamic they've found themselves into. Please don't keep Mary to the side if you go for this! I respect and understand people who hc Holmes as strictly gay, but I'd rather they be all equally in love with each other. I love everything with badass Watsons (both of them), a-spec, neurodivergent and/or genderqueer Holmes and funny slice of life scenarios.
Another idea I've been toying with for some time is the intersection between Watson's kneejerk reaction towards addictive substances as a consequence of his brother's death and Holmes' necessary (though sometimes careless) self medication with drugs. Give me the angst, give me the trauma and the opposing needs of two people who love each other a lot clashing together; ending in some good ol' healthy communication. Anything to do with the Irregulars is also pure gold.
Watson and Holmes comics: Holmes/Watson. Please for the love of god there aren't enough men in love in the comic's tag on ao3. Let them be silly! Let them be gentle with each other! I want the inside jokes and the breakfast in the morning and the terrible music taste and the perfect, reticent balance being utterly shattered the moment Omare steps into 221B for his first week staying with Watson. I'm a slut for parent!lock, so if while trying to juggle their private lives, their jobs and a little kid they fall in love, I will love you for the rest of eternity. Also any joke where someone draws attention to their ridiculous height difference is a bonus. If the height difference comes up on other occasions too... *eyes emoji* well, you know what to do.
Enola Holmes series: PLEASE LET THIS POOR GIRL WORK THROUGH HER CHILDHOOD TRAUMA. Literally. I'm begging someone to find this kid, let her sleep under a roof without worrying about being someone she's not for once and let her safely break down from how fucking terrible her childhood was. I read the passage in the third book where she forgave her mother for neglecting her her whole life and I just... no. I love her dynamic with Mary and her weird parasocial attachment to Watson as a father figure. Any occasion where they have the chance to take care of her and be the parents she was never allowed to have is perfect. Please do NOT separate the Watsons in this universe! But go as hard as you want on the Holmes/Watson/Mary. In this case I would adore a scene where Enola confronts her brother on his hypocrisy about "biological instincts". How does she know? Well, let's just say that it's kind of hard to mistake someone's expression for brotherly concern over a missing friend when he's holding the hands of his friend's wife and the look in their eyes are mirrored.
You Buy Bones: Watson/Lestrade. GOD this pastiche hit straight on a nerve I didn't even know I had (ok that's bullshit, i knew of it, I just never indulged :P). Anything with some resolution to the obvious sexual tension Lestrade had throughout the book, either somewhere along the book's plot or after. I haven't finished the last two/three chapters yet, so in case something happens by the end that would make this impossible or really bad just go full canon divergence or simply steal the backstories this pastiche gave to the characters. Dates in shabby but homely taverns are a definite plus (and if you can avoid Holmes getting thrown into this whole deal I'd be grateful).
A Study In Steampunk: Finch/Watson. The doctor's got magic healing tingling hands that can connect people's life forces. Finch is going to be curious, wink wink (set in the happy timeline pls. The Jack the Ripper run was fun but it's not something I want to experience twice lmao).
Special requests: I can be pretty flexible on many things but if it's possible I'd rather be assigned to someone who's ok with receiving both art and a fic. I've just recently started writing again and I'm still limping along, so just in case I can't make the writing work I feel more relaxed having another option to fall back onto.
