This was WONDERFUL. I'm very familiar with Mary Russell, not at all familiar with Enola Holmes, but it didn't matter – she came fully to life here, without needing to have read her before. So absolutely wonderful to see these two smart, capable women having such a sustained and sustaining friendship. I love this, and I agree with amindamazed above me, I'm happy to take this as my new headcanon. :-)
