Oh my goodness, what a delightful idea! Thank you for this offer, what a treat!

Well, my favorite character is Watson, and when I tried to think of what prompt might make for an interesting vidlet, this is what sprang to mind: There is a passage in the Doyle story "Charles Augustus Milverton" where Holmes plans to undertake a risky and illegal mission for the sake of helping a client, and Watson insists on coming along to help. Holmes (probably trying to protect him) tells him that it would be pointless for him to come because he wouldn't be of any use. And Watson replies: "You don't know that. You can't tell what may happen. And in any case, my resolution is taken. Other people besides you have self-respect, and even reputations."

That is one of my favorite lines in the ACD canon, because I love to see Watson's self-respect and I love it when his usefulness and honorable qualities are recognized. So, I would love to see a vidlet that looks at moments either where Watson's good qualities are recognized by others, or where it's clear that he takes pride in them himself (or herself). One scene in this regard springs immediately to mind for me: it's at the end of Without a Clue, where Michael Caine's Holmes tells the waiting crowd how remarkable Ben Kingsley's Watson is, and they all begin to applaud him. If that scene could inspire a vidlet with similar themes, I would be so excited. And obviously if what I've said is too specific, feel free to just go in whatever direction your muses lead you! But moments of recognition/respect/self-respect from various Watsons in film would be very lovely to see.

Thanks again for your amazing vid, it was really a highlight of Holmestice and I've already watched it many times! It's so nice of you to share more with us, too, this is wonderful :)
