This was a wonderful read...funny, quietly domestic and totally IC throughout. Loved the idea of Holmes and Watson sharing their Christmas dinner with the Irregulars as payment. The tending to the practicalities of washing boys, mending their clothes and the of singing Christmas carols, added to the warmth and innate goodness that IS Holmes and Watson, however much Holmes might like to hide that side of himself.
And the ending was perfection itself. Just beautifully done all round.
